Army life and activities around Atlanta, Cedartown, Dalton, Jonesboro, Marietta, Palmetto, and Tunnel Hill, Ga.; Bardstown and Perryville, Ky.; Columbus, Verona, and West Point, Miss.; and Chattanooga, Columbia; Franklin, Murfreesboro, and Tullahoma, Tenn.

Robert Lewis Bliss served in the 27th Alabama Infantry Regiment and in Nathan B. Forrest's cavalry corps and as a Sergeant in the Quartermaster Corps and later in the Ordnance Department of the Army of the Mississippi. His family resided in Florence, Ala.
